English: Portrait of Ann, Duchess of Hamilton [d.1716], daughter of James, first Duke of Hamilton. Three-quarter length portrait with sitter in a grey satin dress with blue and grey wrap, pearl necklace, earrings and head-dress. Sits on red upholstered chair with with window to the right and acanthus leaves to left. Oil on canvas, in gilt and gesso frame moulded with scrolling ribbon and acanthus, scrolled 'Ann, Duke of Hamilton' banner on top of frame.
