Fair use in Dulwich College[edit]

Though this image is subject to copyright, its use is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because:

1. It illustrates an educational article about the Dulwich College, which the logo (being the old crest of the school and is no longer used by the school) no longer represents but is being used for comparative purposes..
2. It is a very low resolution image (the motto cannot be read for example), and thus not suitable for production of counterfeit goods.
3. The crest is not used in such a way that a reader would be confused into believing that the article is written or authorized by Dulwich College or the Alleyn family.
4. It is not replaceable with an accurate, uncopyrighted or freely copyrighted image of comparable educational value.
