English: Russian Federation, award of the Ministry of Defence. Badge of Distinction "For Merits" for Airborne Troops. Instituted on 6 May 2005 by ministerial order 182. Awarded to officers and warrant officers serving in Airborne Troops for 5 years or more: for exemplary performance of military duties; for outstanding results in training and in the education of subordinates or in the development of new technology and weapons; for professional excellence and superior performance in combat training.
