Summary

Description
English: Abdominal CT scan showing 11.5 x 10.5 cm-sized formation in the hepatic segment VI. The lesion, hypothetically starting from the gallbladder, had a substantially extrahepatic deployment with compression/infiltration of about 4 cm of the hepatic segment VI. The mass showed close contiguity with the retro-hepatic vena cava, hepatic artery and portal vein, compressing them.

The patient underwent a hepatic segment V (partial), VI and VII resection. Microscopic report described neoplastic proliferation with necrosis and fibrosclerosis. AE1/AE3 (+), vimentin (+), INI1 (+), alpha-fetoprotein (+/--), CD31 (-), CD34 (-), HMB45 (-), pS100 (-), Mart1 (-), actin (-), desmin (-), myogenin (-), CD117 (-), synaptophysin (-), chromogranin (-), beta-catenin (-), CD99 (-), PAX 8 (-) were observed at immunohistochemistry analysis.

The finally diagnosis was hepatoblastoma with rhabdoid feature.
