This is the model presented by Tiepolo on the occasion of the competition organized by the Dominicans of the church of Santi Giovanni e Paolo in Venice in 1723 to choose the artist and who shall act to realize the ceiling of their chapel. The competition was won by the Piazzetta, whose painting was placed in 1727.
