Summary

Description A U.S. Navy Douglas A-4C Skyhawk fighter (BuNo 149544) from Attack Squadron VA-64 Black Lancers on the catapult of the aircraft carrier USS America (CVA-66) on 8 June 1967. It is armed with two AGM-12C Bullpup missiles in response to the Israeli attack on the USS Liberty (AGTR-5). VA-64 was assigned to Attack Carrier Air Wing 6 (CVW-6) aboard the America for a deployment to the Mediterranean Sea from 10 January to 20 September 1967.
