Description Goodenough Island, D'Entrecasteaux Islands, Papua. 20 July 1943. No. 79 Squadron RAAF Spitfire Mk VC No. A58-173, code UP-U (RAF JG740) with the nickname "Sweet F. A." on the port side engine cowling, in the dispersal area at Vivigani airfield in the shadow of Mount Nimadao and Mount Oiamadawa. This aircraft was flown by 386 Squadron Leader A. C. (Alan) Rawlinson DFC & Bar, Commanding Officer.
