Summary

Description
English: Five B-29s of the 793rd Squadron/468th Bomb Group fly over a harbor in the southern coast of Honshu in mid-1945. The closest aircraft is “21” and the furthest to the left is “31”. Cloud cover, as seen here, was often scattered and greatly hindered bombing performance. “21” is B-29-20-BA 42-63456, which survived the war, and “31” is B-29-10-BW 42-63534 Pioneer II, which also returned to the US following the war.
