Summary

Description
English: 2 minute exposure of Near-Earth object 3552 Don Quixote with a 14" telescope. 3552 Don Quixote is about apparent magnitude 15 in this image taken at 2009-10-18 12:15 UT. Don Quixote was 0.853AU from the Earth and had come to perihelion (q) 1.2AU from the Sun on 2009-Sep-08. Don Quixote is suspected of being an extinct comet. The asteroid trail is caused by the telescope tracking the stars and not the comet.
