Description
English: The broken lion capital found close to a square platform, near the Hindu caves at Udayagiri, Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh. The site shows signs of damage.

The ancient artifact and its links to Surya tradition of Hinduism has been described by Dass and Willis in a 2002 journal paper: doi:10.1080/02666030.2002.9628605
