SAN ANTONIO -- U.S. Army scientists and Soldiers visited Sam Houston High School Jan. 5 to show how engineering, science and technology encompass all aspects of students’ lives.
The Army team demonstrated how food science allows the military to keep food fresh for Soldiers during combat. Students enjoyed cake that had been stored for up to four years. They Army also demonstrated robotics.
The Army is visiting local high schools during the U.S. Army All-American Bowl Week, which concludes with the annual high-school football all-star game Jan. 7.
