Summary[edit]

This is the official logo of the 2006 Rose Bowl. It was found on the official Rose Bowl website at: [1] The Texas Longhorns and the USC Trojans logos are in this picture, as well as the official 2006 Rose Bowl logo. The game was the BCS National Championship game between the #1 USC Trojans and the #2 Texas Longhorns. The winner of the game is crowned the NCAA Division I-A National Champion and voted #1 in the Coaches Poll.

Fair Use Rationale for 2006 Rose Bowl[edit]

It is believed the use of this image on 2006 Rose Bowl article is applicable and applies under fair use as:

1. The image is directly related to the content
2. No free image exists, or a replaceable image is possible, since it is a logo
3. The use of this image does not impede on the ability of the Rose Bowl to use this image commercially
4. The value of this image commercially is diminished since the event occurred in the past, and no future use of this logo seem practical
5. It is a historically significant logo of the 2006 BCS National Championship Game for college football
6. Its inclusion in the article adds significantly to the article because it shows and identifies the subject of this article and how the event depicted was very historically significant, and how the Rose Bowl producers/owners wish the game to be represented
7. It was on the Official Rose Bowl Game Website for the period when the game opponents were identified, to until before the next years Rose Bowl opponents were identified
8. Users can identify with the logo and immediately recognize the article is the one they want or don't want, comparing the 2006 Rose Bowl with the 2007 Rose Bowl whereas USC played in both games, but Texas played in 2006 and Michigan played in 2007
9. It provides more than an identification, as it is instructional to non previous knowledge readers about the logo's preferred description and identification
