Summary

Description
English: The 1978 AMC Matador. A large-sized car with comfort for six adult passengers (eight with a third-row seat in station wagons) made by American Motors Corporation (AMC). All Matadors came in luxurious trim and many convenience features as standard equipment. The "Barcelona" package was optional that added a coordinated two-tome paint, more standard equipment as well as an even more opulent interior upholstery and trim.

This was the final model year for the Matador as consumers were demanding more economical cars with fuel and money became increasingly worrisome during the 1970s. The 1978 model year also saw the introduction of the AMC Concord, a compact-sized luxury car that became a success for the automaker.

Photographed at the Rambler Ranch collection -- located at 36370 Forest Trail, Elizabeth, CO 80107 -- URL link: https://www.ramblerranch.com -- that was part of the 2021 American Motors Owners (AMO) convention held in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
