Description

Vitamin C. The VH was an all new fully Australian designed and built Valiant. It was a larger car and more rounded than the VG, the grille heavily influenced by its US counterparts. A more powerful 265 cu in hemi 6 was introduced. For the performance car, only a 4 door Pacer was available, until it was replaced by the new 2 door short wheelbase 'Charger' coupe. The Charger is very collectible today, especially the E49 RT version. all RTs got a blacked out grille, RT stripes and decals and full instrumentation (A66 option was the black out hood) VH Chargers available; Base; 215 cu in, 2bbl, 140hp, 3 spd XL; 245 cu in, 2bbl, 160hp, 3 spd (318 V8 option) RT; 265 cu in, 2bbl, 218 hp, 3spd, 699 made (1 auto, 60 4 spd) E37; 265 cu in, 6 pk, 248hp, 3 spd, 134 made RT E38; 265 cu in, 6 pk, 280 hp, 3 spd, 316 made (234 A84 option) RT E48; 265 cu in, 6 pk, 248 hp, 4 spd, 2 made RT E49; 265 cu in, 6 pk, 302 hp, 4 spd, 149 made (21 A84 option) 770; 265 6 or 318 V8, 2 bbl, 230/275hp, auto 770SE; 340 cu in V8, 4bbl, 275 hp, auto E55; 340 cu in V8, 4 bbl, 275hp, auto, 124 made

(A84 option was the 35 gal tank).
