Summary

Description
English: 1972 AMC Hornet SST four-door sedan finished in two-tone Butterscotch Gold and Frost White (paint codes D5 and A1) with tan houndstooth cloth interior. It is a compact-size car built by American Motors Corporation (AMC). The 1972 model year introduced AMC's "Buyer Protection Plan" - the industry's first 12-month or 12,000 mile (19,000 km) comprehensive, bumper-to-bumper warranty. This was part of AMC's new focus on quality and value. The previous base models were discontinued after 1971 and all 1972 Hornets came as "SST" trim versions. This offered more factory standard features items for 1972 at about the same price as the previous year's models. Photographed at the Rambler Ranch collection (located at 36370 Forest Trail, Elizabeth, CO 80107, see: https://www.ramblerranch.com ) that was part of the 2021 American Motors Owners (AMO) convention held in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
