Summary

Description
English: 1955 Nash Ambassador Custom, a four-sedan made by the newly organized American Motors Corporation (AMC) that was the merger of Nash-Kelvinator with Hudson Motor Car Company in 1954. This is a full-sized automobile and the Custom models included the continental spare tire mount that increased overall vehicle length by 10 inches. Standard was on the Ambassadors was Nash's venerable overhead-valve 252.6 cu in (4.1 L) straight-six. This car has the optional "Le Mans Dual-Jetfire Six" version with higher compression and dual Carter side-draft carburetors producing 140 horsepower, as well as the popular GM-sourced Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. The LeMans name comes from the racing heritage of the Nash-Healey sports cars that were campaigned in the 24 Hours of Le Mans events. This car also has AMC's front-mounted fully-integrated heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning system. The interior features the original upholstery with individually adjustable and relining front seats. Picture taken at the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) 2015 Hershey meet that is held every October in Pennsylvania.
