Summary

Description
English: "Number 1" 1952 Cunningham C4-R (chassis 5216R) at the 2018 Greenwich Concours d'Elegance. Briggs Cunningham raced this car himself at Le Mans, finishing 4th, 7th, and 5th overall in 1952, 1953, and 1954 respectively. Currently with the the Collier Collection at the Revs Institute. This car can be recognized by having nine over eight side louvres (rather than nine over nine for car 5217R). Underwent lots of changes in its early years, such as the installation of the oil cooler scoop in 1952, a Siata four-speed transmission in 1953, and the removable headrest in 1954.
