Summary

Description

The Delahaye 135 luxury touring cars were produced from 1935-54 in many different body styles, also very popular for racing. Well-known coachbuilders, such as Franay, Letourner & Marchard, Chapron, and Guillore, were tasked with outfitting the 135's. The Carlton Carriage Company was a highly respected London coachbuilder that provided bespoke coachwork for some of the finest car makers of the 1920 and 30’s, not only English manufacturers, Rolls Royce and Bentley, but also European and American manufacturers A larger-displacement 3557cc 135M was introduced in 1936. The new engine offered 90, 105, or 115 hp with either one, two, or three carburetors An even sportier version, the 135MS, soon followed; 120 and 145 hp were available, with competition versions offering over 160 hp
