Description U.S. Air Force General Dynamics F-16C Fighting Falcon fighters from the 188th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron, New Mexico Air National Guard, flying over Kuwaiti oil wells during Operation Southern Watch, 1998. Note the flares burning off gas are NOT oil well fires. The 188th EFS was deployed at Al Jaber Air Base, Kuwait, April-July 1998
