MEDITERRANEAN SEA (Oct. 16, 2016) Commanding Officer Cmdr. Russell Caldwell and Executive Officer Cmdr. Bryan Gallo watch from the bridge wing as USS Ross (DDG 71) conducts a replenishment-at-sea with the French replenishment ship FS Marne (A 630) Oct. 16, 2016. Ross, an Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer, forward-deployed to Rota, Spain, is providing multi-warfare defense support to Charles de Gaulle carrier-based operations in the Eastern Mediterranean against identified ISIL positions in support of Operation Inherent Resolve.
