Cette statue était située Square Daubanton, à l'opposé de l'actuel Monument aux Fusillés. Érigée en 1909, la statue fut volée par les allemands durant la Première Guerre Mondiale.

Sur la droite du cliché on peut apercevoir avec diffiulté l'écluse et le pont de la Barre ; voir "Autres Versions" pour plus de visibilité.
