15th Kings Light Dragoon button
Description
English: A post medieval copper-alloy silver plated button of the 15th King's Light Dragoons, dating to AD 1769-1807, therefore dating to the reign of George III. The button comprises a silvered copper alloy back plate with an integral rounded attachment loop and a separate silver disc applied to the front bearing the decoration and insignia. The decoration comprises a framing band of stamped chevrons around an incised eight pointed star with the initials and number K/L.D/15 in relief and arranged in three lines at the centre
