Summary
| Description |
Many many subway stations have nice tilework that stops 10 or 20 feet short of the end of the platform. From there to the end, these stations have similar plain jane ordinary tile. I wonder why this is! I presume it is because trains used to be shorter and they had to extend the platforms, but I just made that up. I actually have no idea. The platform floors usually have no visible difference, so I guess that doesn't add up. |
