Pictures from RAF Museum, Hendon Souvenir of a Zeppelin raid on London, 13 June 1917, on display at RAF Museum Hendon, London.

Printed on tissue paper, with watercolour design, this souvenir commemorates an attack by German Gotha bombers on the East End of London

Text: Souvenir In Loving Memory of the Men Women and Children killed in the London Air Raid on Wednesday ,June 13th, 1917 Killed - 104. Seriously injured - 154. Slightly injured - 269. Total-527. The casualties include 120 children either killed or injured -- "Suffer little children to come unto me, for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven" --

These tiny school babes, our little ones,
Had ceased their tasks and were listening with bated breath,
For the blotting out of the glorious sun
Bby the broken thunder of the German Death
