Description
English: A 1905 oil painting by John Singer Sargent of Frances Evelyn Maynard, "Daisy Greville", Countess of Warwick, (1861-1938) and her son Maynard Greville (1898-1960) fathered by Joseph Laycock, she wife to Francis Greville, Lord Brooke. Daisy Greville, sole beneficiary of the Maynard fortune, and of Easton Lodge, Little Easton, Essex, was an English courtesan and socialite, later turned champagne socialist.
