The School has been awarded with LEED V4 marking it as the first school in the Middle East by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).[1]

History[edit]

Arcadia School, located in the Jumeirah Village Triangle area of Dubai, was established in August 2016 as a primary school.[2]

The school was established[3] by Mr. Mohan Valrani and his son, Dr. Navin Valrani, owners of Al Shirawi Group, a diverse Dubai-based corporation. Initially, the school concentrated on providing the National Curriculum for England.[4]

In September 2020, the institution expanded to include a secondary section adjacent to the primary campus.[5]

Operations[edit]

Arcadia School operates with a learning program that combines the English National Curriculum with the UAE Curriculum. [6]

The school currently accommodates over 1000 students from diverse cultural backgrounds, offering education from Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to Year 10, and planning to open its Sixth Form in August 2024.[7]

The curriculum include experiential learning, emphasizes seven key areas of development, including academic excellence, sports, performing arts, digital literacy, entrepreneurship, STREAM subjects, and adventurous activities.[5]
