Tasmanian Thornbill[edit]

Original - Tasmanian Thornbill (Acanthiza ewingii) at Risdon Brook Dam, Tasmania, Australia
Reason
Reasonably clear, whole bird shown, quality just isn't perfect since I had to crop significantly and the bird was in the shade. The only image wiki has on the species.

  • Strong Support As the only image of this species on the whole of Wikipedia, this image has unmatched encyclopaedic value. It appears to fulfill all criteria, is technically suitable for the means of VP, and shows the bird perfectly for our purposes. Elucidate (light up) 16:01, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support This image is a good illustration of the subject, and nothing vital is obscured. And, as the only picture, it certainly qualifies as the most educational work. Sophus Bie (talk) 21:30, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per above. ~ ωαdεstεr16«talkstalk» 04:38, 12 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Weak support. Quite noisy even at image page size, and more importantly that twig/leaf crossing the tail unfortunately harms composition. I guess this is how we start to nut out our VPC technical requirements? --jjron (talk) 10:35, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
