Vassy (French pronunciation: [vasi] ) is a former commune in the Calvados department in the Normandy region in northwestern France. On 1 January 2016, it was merged into the new commune of Valdallière.[2]

It is said to be the origin of the surnames de Vesci and Vesely in England, introduced after the Norman Conquest in 1066.[3]
