Welcome![edit]

Hello, Valeria martini, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. Hi Val! I chose your talk to write on. I am interested in exploring how a child who has experienced a chronic illness, especially cancer, displays PTSD like symptomatology. As well as this I am interested in working with children who have experienced experienced abuse in the past. If you have any input on what you think I should include in my Wikipedia page on chronic illness and PTSD symptomatology let me know :)

HI[edit]

I realized I uploaded my comment to the wrong section so I'm reposting it here!

Username change[edit]

Yes, it's pretty simple to change your username. If you have confirmed your email address (see this page if you need help enabling your email), you can change your username by going to Special:GlobalRenameRequest. For more details, check out Wikipedia:Changing username. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 18:45, 19 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Val! I'm giving this talk section a try and sending you a hello. See you in class! --Darinwitkovic (talk) 05:17, 20 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Working in Wikipedia[edit]

In this diff, you wrote down your thoughts, and then cited the source you were thinking about.

In Wikipedia, this is original research. What we do here, is summarize what reliable sources say -- that is entirely different from what you did.

I hope that makes sense. Please see User:Jytdog/How if you want an overview of what we do here, how we do it, and why we do it that way.

For content about health, please do make sure you are familiar with WP:MEDRS, which defines what a "reliable source" is, for such content. Jytdog (talk) 19:53, 30 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
