Feel free to take over for me on that article. I was working on de-Engrishifying it but I've gotten extra busy with work and haven't had time to get back to it. Kelly Martin (talk) 05:23, 11 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ignoring on IRC[edit]

And if you want to win friends for later adminships, perhaps not putting IRC users on ignore before listening for a response is not a good action. I've got nearly 5,000 edits here. I haven't pissed anyone off due to any sort of bigotry. I'm not exactly a bigot. I'm also involved with a French Canadian. astiqueparervoir 21:57, 12 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I was joking. I tried to explain it. French Canadien men are very hot. I'm trying despiritely not to be in love with one. astiqueparervoir 22:05, 12 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Then don't be so mean to me on my animenfo.com stub! I am a french canadian too (and stalking you) :P Beltz

Ted Wragg[edit]

Hi Thor,

Further to your comments about possible inaccuracies in a broadcast, please feel free to contact Teachers TV as I haven't seen the programme that you refer to.--Rmackenzie 02:08, 14 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • I contacted them yesterday by email, since I am an associate. I expect a reply within a week at the most. Thor

Controversies about the Boy Scouts of America[edit]

Tmalmjursson: Why did you put a POV check template on the subject article? You are supposed to explain your reasons on the talk page of the article as explained here: [1] --Jagz 01:27, 16 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Job done. I forgot to list that, and it has been corrected. Thor.

Re:Vet stub[edit]

Hi - no problem as far as the "following the rules" bit is concerned. It's just to stop things getting totally out of hand. As you can tell from the proposals page, there are 3-4 new stub templates proposed every day, so if there wasn't a WikiProject trying to keep track of what are good and bad ideas for stub types it could get out of hand very quickly (even with the project the full list of stub types at WP:WSS/ST is very long). As far as the problem with numbers for this particular stub are concerned, the best advice is probably to keep looking. I would think it's quite likely there will be enough stubs for one stub type - have a look in the categories relating to veterinary medicine, animal health, animal disease, and any stub categories that may be connected with that (Animal stubs, Biology stubs, and just plain Science stubs, perhaps?). The proposal process at WP:WSS/ST is officially a week, but things which look borderline are often kept there longeer if it looks like they may get up close to threshold, so there's no need to panic about it yet. If it comes to the worst, this can always be re-proposed at a later date, but I think it should get through now with a bit of hunting. BTW, I'm intrigued by that "Cat scan" tool - I'll have to check that out! Grutness...wha? 02:00, 18 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Malignant histiocytosis should be added to your list of vet med stubs; since it is an animal disease it doesn't really belong with the med stubs. Cheers! Rewster (not logged in) 66.120.127.66 01:31, 14 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've restored all versions of this, and delisted it as a CSD. I speedy deleted based on the nomination, with a note to bring it up for RFD if somone want's to delete it again. Please note though, that category redirections don't really work correctly (e.g.)

  1. CAT A redirects to CAT B
  2. ART C is placed in CAT A
  3. ART C gets listed in CAT A
  4. Someone clicking on ART C's category name gets a list of the articles in CAT B
  5. CAT B does not contain articles from CAT A as one would hope.

Zoology Medicine Stub proposal[edit]

The 'waiting period' is seven days; as there has been opposition, I suggest you wait the full amount, but if there's no further dissent, go ahead. (Thoughas SFD is keeping all sorts of... stuff these days, there may not be a lot to worry about either way.) Alai 20:58, 22 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I just happened to be at G's talk page on another matter, and as your question seemed pretty generic (about WSS 'custom and practice'), I thought I'd give you my two eurocentsworth. Partly as I'd guess he'd be asleep around then, given his timezone. Alai 22:42, 22 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah - Alai was right, I would have been still in bed (I'm in New Zealand, so 20.47 UTC is about 7.47am here, and I work afternoons and evenings). Anyway, what he says is pretty much right - normally six days would be fine, but I'd wait the full seven since there is a dissenting vote. That's only a few more hours anyway. As far as actually making the stub and category, it's probably worth looking at how some of the established stub types are done and copying and pasting what you need - just so as to keep the style consistent. Grutness...wha? 06:36, 23 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re:block[edit]

I made the block short because it was a shared IP, but since barely any useful edits are coming from there, and considering the number of blocks, I will re-block now for 48 hours. Regards Banez 11:00, 2 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The comment left by BrianGCrawfordMA has been deleted from my page. I don't welcome people imposing their views and telling me how I should be voting in an AfD! Thor Malmjursson 12:57, 3 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
