Gallery

WOW! Thank you so much for the "packed gallery" change, that looks so much better and is what I was hoping was possible but couldn't quite figure out! Leijurv (talk) 05:51, 10 September 2020 (UTC)

@Leijurv: My pleasure! The Help namespace has a how-to reference on gallery tags - Help:Gallery_tag. SpurriousCorrelation 06:05, 10 September 2020 (UTC)

Original Sourcing

Hey. This is mihir nanthur here. I had added Maina Gawankars name as she was my grandmother. Names lost in history dont need citations sir. I am neither a journalist nor an investigator but my claim of adding my grandmothers name can be verified by your or any of your sources related to the matter. A lady who spent 22 years on bed and 1 amongst the first few women criminal lawyers of maharashtra. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mihir nanthur (talkcontribs) 06:04, 10 September 2020 (UTC)

@Mihir nanthur: I understand your desire to share with the world the story of your grandmother. However, Wikpedia is not the place to start that. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and as such should not include original sources, which your edit(s) fall under. Let me know if you have additional questions I can answer for you. SpurriousCorrelation 06:12, 10 September 2020 (UTC)
@Mihir nanthur: You could include information about her if there are any books or other reliable sources, like websites (see WP:RS), that mention her. Sorry, everything on Wikipedia needs reliable sources. I understand how you feel completely. Tell me if you have reliable sources; I might be able to help you out. —  Melofors  TC  11:17, 10 September 2020 (UTC)

hope its helps sir. Its in the history section. Many thanks Mihir nanthur (talk) 12:02, 10 September 2020 (UTC)
@Mihir nanthur: I know we found another occurance of the name on Wikipedia, but we unfortunately cannot use that as a source in another wiki article. See WP:CIRCULAR. SpurriousCorrelation 17:06, 10 September 2020 (UTC)
No problem sir.Thank you. Mihir nanthur (talk) 19:38, 10 September 2020 (UTC)
@Mihir nanthur: That article itself doesn't seem to be properly sourced. Your grandmother was mentioned (added in this 2017 edit), but the source used at the end of the paragraph (here) doesn't even mention her. —  Melofors  TC  21:29, 10 September 2020 (UTC)

Frame & Canvas

Hello:

I am one of the GOCE coordinators. As requested in your note in the Frame & Canvas copy edit request I had a look at the article and made some minor changes.

If you bring the article up and click on "View History" then click on "prev" beside my user name you can see all of the changes I made.

A couple of minor things. Commas are required after complete dates: September 13, 2020, when they are used as part of a sentence as do states: Buffalo, New York, has a population of 800,000, for example.

If only part of a quotation is used in a sentence the period follows the quotation marks. Nanna said it referred to "some kind of art school thing".

When a complete sentence is used, the period is placed inside the quotation marks. playing what he called "this cool beat ... immediately once he started playing. 'This is different'."

Use an unspaced mdash rather than a spaced ndash to replace commas. Atkinson—who was from Milwaukee—joined the group...

It appears the article may have been written in British English "favourable" "travelled". If this is the case, you should leave those instances of British spelling alone. Since I wasn't sure, and they were an American band, I tagged the article "use American English" and made sure the wording was consistent.

The rest of my changes involved wording "fixes" which I thought made the article read better.

Thanks for your help with the Guild. Do let me know if you ever have any questions.

Regards,

On the 'feardotcom' thing

I was right, they were wrong. It was not completely opinion based. Mine was based on the overall critics consensus. Stop being an imbecile and preventing objective improvements over articles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.6.235.78 (talk)
