Center or not center[edit]

The text of the template was recently centered. Aesthetically it makes little difference if the text is centered or left-justified, I think. But judging by a quick glance at some other templates, this seems to break with the most formatting of most of the other userboxes so I am inclined to change it back to left-justified. Comments? I like it centered, and the 20+ userboxes on my user page are centered, not left-justified. --Funandtrvl (talk) 19:11, 9 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I just sampled a bunch of your userbox histories. They are centered because you centered them. It is deceitful to use those userboxes as evidence to support the centering. Regardless if you like the centering, a large number of userboxes (if not most and excluding those that have been tinkered by you) seem to be left-justified. You may like userboxes centered but many other people must not. On Wikipedia, for most cases of ties in opinion, the usual solution is to not systematically change the situation without consensus. Well, I certainly am not trying to start a conspiracy!! If you feel so strongly, then please do as you please. --Funandtrvl (talk) 20:01, 9 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've added a new info-align= parameter, so everyone can choose how they want to align the userbox. – PartTimeGnome (talk | contribs) 21:52, 20 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
