comment[edit]

I removed the link to Sophists from the series box because it simply redirected to Sophistry, which is a survey of the concept and practice of sophistry rather than a biographical sketch of any particular sophist. Since we already seem to have most of the Sophists in the series (and can add more if any are lacking), I don't really think we need a link to a page about sophists in general anyway. Do you agree? Removal of Themistoclea and Melissa[edit]

I removed two Pythagoreans which were very recently added to this template: Themistoclea and Melissa (philosopher). This template, as it currently stands, is devoted to the major Presocratic philosophers who have their own entries in the standard textbooks on the Presocratics. There are many highly-obscure ancient philosophers (especially Pythagoreans) from this period about whom very little is known. I've created plenty of such pages myself (eg. Arignote, Metrodorus, Calliphon, Myia, Onatas, Telauges, etc.) What would be cool, of course, is if we had a Template:Pythagoreanism (something similar to Template:Epicureanism would do).
