Youth Olympic Games[edit]

Dear Friends, please extend the template by the Youth Games, because they've begun the part of the Olympic Movement, they're officially recognized, announced and organized by the IOC, and the final decision is announced by the all-time president of the IOC, in our days Mr Jacques Rogge. It is shown on the official website of the International Olympic Committee as well. The first two Youth Games are already declared, the first Summer Winter Games has been awarded to Singapore, and the First Winter has been awarded to Innsbruck. I know that there's already another template, called 'Youth Olympic Games', but I think we don't need to divide them into 2 part, because they're similar and they are Olympic Games, even they're for children aged between 14 and 18. But they uses the olympic symbols, the flame, the flag and so on. Although, I have to see that they aren't yet in the same place with the 'real, legendary' Olympic Games, perhaps they will never be in it.

No longer contentious: Outdated objection[edit]

The postponement is no longer "contentious," for here is the official announcement: https://www.olympic.org/news/joint-statement-from-the-international-olympic-committee-and-the-tokyo-2020-organising-committee. Since the postponement to 2021 is now final, there needs to be a way of making it clear in the Template as well as the Article. The Mysterious El Willstro (talk) 02:19, 29 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The postponement is not contentious, and from what I'm seeing in edit summaries that is not the issue at hand. The issue, and one that is currently being discussed here on the talk page of 2020 Summer Olympics, is that it is still officially being branded as the "2020 Summer Olympics". The discussion here should be whether we just leave it as-is (until the RM is concluded) or include some sort of indication that it has been postponed until 2021. That needs to be a discussion, though, not edit warring until a consensus is reached. Primefac (talk) 03:09, 29 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I want to fix some of the flags, especially The French Third Republic ones and the South Korean one, please. 2A02:214A:8014:B700:F530:8FFD:4CF7:BC1F (talk) 21:16, 27 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Primefac (talk) 21:23, 27 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
