That would be because you didn't subst: the template, you transcluded it instead. As written before your change, it worked when subst'd. Now it won't -- and any change to it will affect every page where it's transcluded, making them vulnerable to template vandalism. I wish you had copied the template over to a new one for the purpose of non-subst use, and left this one as is. Ben 06:50, 3 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry about that - I just reverted the coda to your version, so it should work again. But is there really no way to make it work in both modes?
