Extreme 40[edit]

Is it wise to add Extreme 40 also to this template? Take a look at:

Sections?[edit]

I am considering re-organizing this template. The reason is that currently I am in the early stages of adding some historical models, a lot of which date from the 1970s, 80s, 90s. For people using the list to evaluate current-era craft it would be beneficial to group those either older, out of production, home-built or in limited production in to separate sections. In addition there are some non-model links in there already like beachcat which is more of a group of classes than an actual class. Finally, growth in this list is inevitable and a purely alphabetical list will become unwieldy. My current idea is to primarily split by decade:

  • Pre-1970
  • 1970s
  • 1980s
  • 1990s
  • 2000s
  • 2010s

Then to add a new section for meta links, like beachcat.

I say do it. current layout is not very useful IMHO. Moondyne (talk) 00:06, 25 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Note on renaming[edit]

The page was moved from 'Template:List of catamarans and trimarans' to 'Template:Multihulls'. This is because it includes proas, pentamarans, etc. and it makes little semantic sense to compile lists of things and other things but not closely related things. prat (talk) 21:30, 5 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
