Delete template as unworkable and poorly thought out. Nearly all edible herbs may also be used in a medicinal manner. Also, in contrast to culinary herbs, there are thousands of herbs used in a strictly medicinal manner, in the Ayurvedic, traditional Chinese, European, and other systems, as well as those used among indigenous peoples in South America and other parts of the world. May I remind you of the policies found at WP:Talkpage? You have been warned before about the inappropriateness of placing of comments in article, and now template, name spaces. I removed your comments from the template page, as such, and you should remember that the same behavior at the Korean cuisine article was part of the reason you were blocked on the sixth time. I would also like to remind you not to place deliberately misleading comments in your posts, as the removal of them was fully inline with the aforementioned WP:Talkpage policy and required neither consensus or discussion.

I would like to ask you kindly, once again, not to edit in an overly aggressive and intimidating manner (as above), but instead to edit in a collegial, collaborative manner. Pointing out mistakes rather than actually going in and changing them shows that an editor is taking into consideration other editors' thoughts--making a problem known rather than presuming to fix it him- or herself. Passive aggressive behavior is still aggressive behavior. Stop with the buzzwords and faux conciliatory behavior already, it doesn't bolster your case. Your idea of collaboration is beating a dead horse and death by a thousand cuts. Your attempts at playing nice are hollow at best and demeaning at worst. Title[edit]

The questions are, are spices used medicinally (yes), and are spices either herbs or fungi (I don't think so). Thus, medicinal spices have nowhere to go under the current title (which was changed without discussion). Badagnani (talk) 01:47, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

On second thought, it is possible that cassia, cinnamon, cloves, or cardamom could be classified (broadly) as "herbs," but not under the logic of the "Herbs and spices" template. Badagnani (talk) 01:48, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I believe that with in this context, all green plant based derivatives are classified as herbs as opposed to the culinary definition. That is just opinion. --Jeremy ( Blah blah...) 02:28, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
