Make a new juvenile template?[edit]

A lot more states have separate juvenile correctional divisions than I thought. Should I start a new template for juvenile agencies?

Also, since many teenagers edit Wikipedia those agency articles could be somewhat well-trafficked as teens may know people incarcerated in the juvie facilities. WhisperToMe (talk) 05:07, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Rename[edit]

This template needs renaming in the easiest way possible.

The topic "Incarceration in the United States" should have its own template and subarticles within the state. It is true that the Department of Corrections of each state is a subordinate article of the state. It is probably true that Incarceration in Alabama has a subordinate article, Alabama Department of Corrections. To put a fine point on it, it is incarcerations that cause (result in) the DOC. The DOC does not cause incarceration! It is responsible for it. Incarceration is the result of state/national policy/judicial system. In response to incarceration, it creates a department to retain convicts.

I suggest renaming the header on the template, leaving everything else the same. We can create a similar template, but differently named, for "Incarceration in x." There is no hurry! Student7 (talk) 19:18, 29 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
