Please add new parameter |year=

.
Instructions[edit]
- Go to https://www.imdb.com and search for the event you want (say, MTV Movie + TV Awards)

2016

- This is not a WP:RFC matter. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 22:02, 6 December 2020 (UTC)
- @Redrose64: But I want
|year=
to be added. St3095 (?) 12:06, 7 December 2020 (UTC)- So why not discuss in the normal way? RfC is not a method of first choice, it is a formal process of last resort, once all other methods have failed. Having discussed your desired enhancement and others have agreed that it should go ahead, the next step is a semi-protected edit request. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 14:47, 7 December 2020 (UTC)

{{edit semi-protected}}
should have been used here. P,TO 19104 (talk) (contribs) 14:33, 23 December 2020 (UTC)

- @Redrose64: But I want
- Not done: @St3095: I'm closing this edit request for the following reasons:
- The proposing user has over 3000 edits, so can make the change themself.
- The proposed change is a breaking change to a template with several transclusions (483 transclusions; anything that changes the order of unnamed parameters is breaking). This could be resolved by adding the year as parameter 3.
The proposal does not specify what the new parameter will do.Danski454 (talk) 00:03, 24 December 2020 (UTC)
