Where are we supposed to put it?[edit]

I recently put it in an RfC below comments by a couple editors I believed were canvassed, resulting in a big brouhaha. But it does NOT look like a talk page template. More guidance here would be a big help. CarolMooreDC - talkie talkie🗽 17:43, 30 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

OK, searched around and found it in discussions on talk page. Just had problems with an editor who said it didn't belong in RfCs. But found it in a Move discussion. But what about AfDs and ANI discussions, etc? A bit more guidance regarding people removing it, having fits about it, etc. (as in my case) might be helpful. Thanks.
