I've fixed the template for the 2006-07 season. NoseNuggets 7:09 PM US EDT July 10 2006

General template[edit]

I believe this general Bowl Game template should be just a list of the names of the bowl games with no dates. This template should be placed on the general bowl game articles like Outback Bowl or Gator Bowl. We then should create a {{2006 Bowl Games}} template for use on articles like 2006 Alamo Bowl or 2007 Fiesta Bowl. Actually, I could even argue that the individual yearly bowl games do not need a template. But I still think this template should not contain dates as it applies to non temporal articles. Any other opinions?↔NMajdantalk 22:03, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A general template would be better. If a yearly template is used it needs to be changed each year though, because right now articles like NCAA football bowl games, 2005-06 have a template at the bottom giving the dates of the 2006-07 bowl season, which would seem to be a problem. It will become even more of a problem when this is changed for this year's bowl games, as there are more articles like 2007 Rose Bowl which have the template (or actually should have it) and will at some point have the dates of the next year's bowl season. Any thoughts? Phydend 17:17, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well I changed it, created {{2006 Bowl Games}} and also {{2005 Bowl Games}}. If anyone sees anything wrong with any of them please fix. I think all of the current bowls are on this one, defunct ones could probably go here too, but that's for further discussion I'd say. Phydend 04:08, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
