So how do I get the relevant dates in the template to link to the 1950-1959 article? Vidor (talk) 20:28, 14 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • I've done it for you. I've just gone through to each link (i.e. this one) and added "#REDIRECT [[Alabama Crimson Tide football, 1950–1959#1951]]". Obviously, just adding the correct year at the end.  LATICS  talk  18:47, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Should it be added to the Culture & Tradition section? I'm not entirely certain one way or the other. Seems like many, many fans go there prior and after the games, but I don't know if it would belong in the template.  LATICS  talk  18:49, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • No. It's a restaurant. Not specifically related to the Alabama football program. Vidor (talk) 02:51, 25 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

1919 SIAA Champions[edit]

Info about the old SIAA is hard to come by on the Internet, and Alabama's official media guides don't even mention this, but this biography of Xen C. Scott lists the 1919 Tide as champions of the SIAA and Alabama's first ever conference championship team. Vidor (talk) 21:58, 22 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hm. Sources here and here indicate that SIAA championships were unofficial. Never mind. Guess that's what you get from gleaning info from a book on Amazon.com that you don't have full access to. Vidor (talk) 00:10, 23 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Since the title is unofficial and the school does not claim it, I removed it from the template. The article on the 1919 season does a very good job of explaining the situation. A small note should probably be added to the main UA football in the conference championship section mentioning the unofficial 1919 SIAA title. 15.170.158.209 (talk) 20:13, 26 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
