Why delete the ElectionsNY template?[edit]

This may look redundant, but in fact it isn't. See, for example, New York City mayoral election, 1917, New York City mayoral election, 1977, New York City mayoral election, 1997, New York City mayoral election, 2001, New York City mayoral election, 2005 and New York City mayoral election, 2009. In each case, the ElectionsNY template (including the Mayoral elections articles that have actually been written) runs along the right, while a more specific horizontal template at the foot shows all the mayoral election years, most of them red-linked since no one has yet started individual articles about them. —— Shakescene (talk) 08:47, 7 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This template can be added in the first section of text, if there is enough text so that the template would not cause a large blank space in the middle of the article. It is a question aof spacing, I would say. Sooner or later all articles will have enough text, but please don't clutter up the almost empty stubs with it, ok?
