Flaw in the map!!![edit]

Dutch used to be an official language in the former colony of Belgian Congo untill it’s indepedance. This isn’t shown on the map in light Blue color as it’s suposed to. Falco iron (talk) 18:35, 21 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

– Simple and concise. And WP:NATURALNESS. WP:Neologism. These are lists of countries not just "territorial entities." Based on the discussion here. Shhhhwwww!! (talk) 16:08, 10 May 2020 (UTC)Relisting. Jerm (talk) 17:15, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support the change from awkward "territorial entities" but Oppose "places" as being too general. "Official language" implies a more formal jurisdiction. Suggest "jurisdictions". --Cornellier (talk) 14:35, 4 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose all. This is getting ridiculous, I doubt very much per NATURALNESS "readers are likely to look or search for" a List of terrritorial entities of anything. We're using "entites" here to mean "some donkey or other that we can't quite pin its tail on" but that is not good enough. "Places" would perhaps serve better as at least being Latin, not Greek. 94.21.219.127 (talk) 00:38, 23 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Note Talk:List of countries where Spanish is an official language#Requested move 27 April 2020 has responses that would also fit within this RM. CMD (talk) 09:40, 23 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. This might help as in the Arabic page, territories are already listed seeing as Palestine and a list of other regions and states speak Arabic officially and are not official countries. Toby Mitches (talk) 07:48, 27 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Rename all under the "List of territories where foo is an official language" format. --Soumya-8974 talk contribs subpages 14:12, 29 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose all Territorial entities includes Sovereign states, Dependent entities, Partially recognized and unrecognized territories, Former territories or whatever possible. No need to add country and then struggle to define what a country is.--Ab207 (talk) 19:54, 31 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    • Comment No native English speaker use the obscure WP:Neologism "territorial entities" to describe the subjects listed in each article. The term "country" is simple and easy to understand. Shhhhwwww!! (talk) 07:48, 1 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support only "places" or "countries", not the awkward and wordy current or proposed titles. Red Slash 18:58, 1 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose The term places in the proposed titles would have a much broader scope. Its meaning can vary among readers who are likely to have different points of view regarding the status of the territories that are mentioned in those articles. Rules of Procedure. Never change the question during the referendum. — It is not a good idea to change the original proposal when users already discussed and evaluated it, and this happened several times here. Now it is no longer clear which proposal versions users commented, supported, or opposed. Love —LiliCharlie (talk) 11:02, 5 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
