The result of the move request was: moved to List of colleges affiliated with the University of Delhi to be consistent with the parent article, University of Delhi, however there was a consensus against removing "affiliated" from the title. Jenks24 (talk) 07:26, 27 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

List of colleges affiliated with Delhi UniversityColleges of the University of Delhi – First of there's no university in the world with name Delhi University. It's name is Univetsity of Delhi. Moreover, on the basis of my observation on Wikipedia I've found that while talking about colleges of an University articles are named as Colleges of the X.Y.Z University TechLion (talk) 14:12, 28 September 2015 (UTC) --Relisted. • Relisting comment. Giving it another relist just to make sure, as this article was recently moved and then reverted in the past. Pinging SpacemanSpiff who made the revert. If this gets to the backlog again with no objections it will be moved as unopposed. Jenks24 (talk) 07:36, 19 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    • Jenks24, I have no opinion on the move, I reverted this and another because of the "my friends and I are doing this all over Wikipedia rationale." —SpacemanSpiff 08:11, 19 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
      • No problem. We'll give it another week just to see if anyone does have an opinion and, if not, move it. Thanks, Jenks24 (talk) 08:12, 19 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • I am completely unsatisfied with this name. It doesn't make sense. Moreover, its name is not on expected tone of Wikipedia. And we should always remember Wikipedia isn't just a site; its a source of education and knowledge for millions of people around the world. Our acts should be as just as that of GOD. • Comment Are "Colleges affiliated with U of D" and "Colleges of the U of D" different in meaning? --regentspark (comment) 15:12, 20 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Partial support. I'm OK with "University of Delhi" change since that is the official name (although the University informally refers to itself as "Delhi University", and therefore, abbreviates its name to "DU"). However, I'm not sure about the second change -- the University uses the term "affiliated to" in its own records (e.g. [1][2][3][4] etc.) The Colleges of the University of Oxford are corporations within the university, although they are autonomous and self-governing; so, calling them "Colleges of" doesn't involve much of a debate. From what I understand, the DU model is not exactly similar -- the private colleges have a completely separate legal existence. At least in colloquial understanding, there seems to be a difference between the terms "colleges of" (university-maintained colleges) and "colleges affiliated to" (all colleges, including the private ones). utcursch | talk 16:12, 20 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose proposed move As RegentsPark hints and Utcursch spells out, not all colleges affiliated with DU are colleges of DU. I am neutral as to whether we use "University of Delhi" or "Delhi University" in the article title, with a slight preference for the former solely to be internally consistent with the University of Delhi article.
