Zabdiel,

Forgive me pre=empting your version, but I didnt know how long it would be till it appeared. The copy that I have put in is a basic copy from the FRWiki, with links removed, then I copied in the old table from main wiki. There is a difference of major note. FR Wiki includes Lyd, which is still under construction. I dont think this will ever traverse the line whilst it is called WHR(C). --Keith 12:00, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No worries - you've added plenty of extra stuff that Ithoguht should be added but wouldn't have had time to do in my lunch time. Thanks! Zabdiel (talk) 12:04, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Name of this page[edit]

Now that the railway is complete and the FR and WHR Ltd seem to be branding themselves as the Welsh Highland Railway and Welsh Highland Heritage Railway respectively, is it time to re-name this article?

Here are a few suggestions:

1) List of Welsh Highland Railway rolling stock
2) List of rolling stock on the modern Welsh Highland Railway
3) List of Welsh Highland Railway (modern) railway stock
4) List of Welsh Highland Railway (Rheilffordd Eyri) rolling stock

Any ideas? Dje84 (talk) 18:02, 12 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hold off for now is the first susggestion. Why? There are problems with the agreememnt reached between FR and WHRL, which is partly detailed elsewhere, and on the newsgroups. The FR are now disputing the right to the name WHR by WHRL, which may cause problems. If other related problems are solved, this will disappear. You will have to remember there will need to be 3 distinct sections, for each of - carriages; locos; stations; and history. The original company upto 1960. The 1960 marker being because the second company, still referred incorrectly as the 64 Co., and now known as WHR Limited, came into existance, and now uses the WHHR name for its operating sub. The third company, is the FR Co. operating subsiduary, known until recently as WHR(C). I, personally, would leave the welsh terms RhE, and RhUC(?), out of the header equation. --Keith 12:46, 13 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Now that the railway has been connected & WHR stock could now start from either end, is it now time to revisit this topic? You rarely see the tag "(Caernarfon)" these days. --Dje84 (talk) 16:30, 21 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Suggest not, at least for the time being. There is material that is relatice to the original WHR, and there is material relative to the new WHR. I had a thought on this when the WHR(C) and WHR(P) names were brought in. the (C) could now be interpreted as the (C)ompleted railway. --Keith 20:16, 21 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Tamper[edit]

As the temper has been modified and regauged by a third party, Plasser & Theurer do not recognise the WHR tamper as part of their product range and have. WHR have been instructed to remove all P&T references from the machine and not to use the Plasser name in association with it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Paul590 (talkcontribs) 11:51, 26 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

K1 coal conversion[edit]

Given that K1 was originally built to burn coal, was converted to oil firing for its WHR debut in 2004, and lated converted again to coal, should not the K1 Notes read "converted _back_ to coal firing..." ? Renaud OLGIATI (talk) 18:38, 13 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
