Content from other site[edit]

It appears that a large portion of the site was directly taken from this this article, without even the references being removed. The article is credible, well-sourced, and well written, but this needs to be rewritten.

The lineage box[edit]

The box inserted at the end of this article and other sibling articles of the Imams refers to banu Quraish. The tribe's name is just "Quraish" and the already existing redirection from "Banu Quraish" to "Quraish" testifyies to the establishing of this correction.

The previous is easy to correct. However, the box refers to the Hashimites (Banu Hashim) as a branch of the 'clan of Quraish. According to the hereditary classification of descent Banu Hashim are classified as a clan, and they are a branch of the tribe (consideration of tribes, maybe) of Quraish.

I would have fixed it but I don't see where in the box's code the word "clan" is inserted.

Large amounts of unrelated content[edit]

This article is intended to be about an individual named Ismail ibn Jafar.

I need to bring to attention large amounts of unrelated content in this article. It contains information of different sects of Shi'ite Islam. An irrelevant amount of article space is dedicated to religious views, disputed history and cases for and againt the legitimacy of successorship of the subjected individual.

A huge cleanup is in order, which I intend to do. However, editors must be careful that this mess doesn't repeat itself.

Text/source removal[edit]

Under "The Ismāʿīlī–Ithnaʿasheri schism," it reads "Isma'ili sources deny the death of Isma'il in the life of his father, Shia and Sunni Muslims don't deny it. Tree showing Ismaili Imam placed below." That Isma'ilis deny Ja'fars death is not in the given source, so such lump-sided sourced dichotomy in the article is not justified. The family tree referenced is also absent. Yasmamba (talk) 15:43, 19 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
