Requested move 26 April 2021[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

The result of the move request was: There is consensus to move the dab page to the base name and the current article away (or merge it elsewhere, but that is outside the scope of RM). There isn't really a consensus where the Gold Star article should go for now, but per WP:NOGOODOPTIONS I'm going to move it to Gold Star medal. Anyone is free to boldly merge it or start a separate discussion of it per WP:MERGE. (non-admin closure) (t · c) buidhe 23:51, 3 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

– The content currently at Gold Star seems to be a fork of Hero of the Soviet Union. Merge, and move dab page to main title. 162 etc. (talk) 22:19, 26 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Note: Hero of the Soviet Union titles a page with significant content and so it must also be dispositioned. If a page merger is needed, then WP:MERGE should be followed. For now, this request has been altered to reflect the need to disposition the third entry. P.I. Ellsworth  ed. put'r there 20:17, 27 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Neutral about merging (an RM isn't really the best place to discuss that part), but definitely 100% Support moving the disambiguation page to the basename. Definitely no clear 100% primary topic whatsoever, so I'd Support moving "Gold Star" to "Gold Star (Soviet Union)". Paintspot Infez (talk) 02:03, 27 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
If we're going that route, there's an existing redirect at Gold Star Medal that I'd say is a good natural title. 162 etc. (talk) 02:38, 27 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Letter-case Gold Star medal, if medal is not part of the title. —Michael Z. 15:37, 28 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
