Edits[edit]

I plan to edit the sections mentioned below. I will be merging the first two paragraphs into one because the info in them seem repetitive. I also agree with the section on renewable energies and will be adding in that topic to the page. Also the "About" section of the article is mainly concentrated with information about the EPA, which is strictly the United States. I feel that the "About" section should be more about a worldwide consensus on what EE is.

Untitled[edit]

This article seems to be real good at drawing external links but no one is editing the actual meat of the article to expand it. I removed a few links and added another. I think the whole external links list needs to be monitored more closely as this article seems to be a link magnet. LarryQ 04:40, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Renewable energies[edit]

Teach about renewable energies:

  1. In a specific carrier in the University or in the High School
  2. As part of an asignature in the school (i.e. related to physics)

is environmental education or what ?. I am specifically interested in the first. And the place where only or mainly envorinmental carriers are teached are green schools or Universities ?. --Mac (talk) 07:20, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Environmental education institutions[edit]

Hello, Currently there is a list of environmental education institutions at List of environmental studies topics#Environmental education. It may make sense either to merge that section into this article, or to spin it off to a separate List of environmental education institutions. Which would be the better way to go? Other options? Thanks, DA Sonnenfeld (talk) 15:52, 3 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Update: a new article, List of environmental degree-granting institutions has been created. Kind regards, DA Sonnenfeld (talk) 15:14, 9 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

EnviroEducation.com[edit]

It's not clear to me that EnviroEducation.com should be excluded from the list of external references in this article. Although apparently now part of a broad, commercial site (Monster.com), it may still have relevance and usefulness to readers of this article. Other views? Thanks, DA Sonnenfeld (talk) 15:17, 9 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction/Trends[edit]

The introduction to this article presents a good overview, but perhaps may be strengthened by a merging of the two paragraphs? I just feel like there is some conceptual redundancy and overlap here. Additionally, the first paragraph could be strengthened with the inclusion of some specific examples of EE in non-school settings, like nature centers, zoos, aquariums, etc.EE511 (talk) 17:58, 15 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Additionally, does the Trends section need strengthening? Adding information on EE's integration with the Next Generation Science Standards, as well as the EE language included in the new "Every Student Succeeds Act" could really strengthen this section, along with the relevant citations.EE511 (talk) 18:21, 15 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of the banner on citations & worldwide perspective[edit]

I have removed the banner as I have fixed the in-line citation issue and I believe that since 2013, this article has been sufficiently updated to show a worldwide perspective. TomRichomme (talk) 12:15, 2 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
