Moved as proposed. The existing redirect will be quashed. BD2412 T 19:12, 19 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Diana Frances (disambiguation)Diana Francis – The dab page lists both people named Diana Francis and Diana Frances, but there are more entries for the former, so the title should reflect that. Additionally, I'm also proposing that the redirect Diana Frances be retargeted to the dab page. Currently, it's a redirect to Diana, Princess of Wales. She might be by far the most prominent person to have had this combination of what I take to be a given name and middle name, but she's not commonly known by that. I don't think it's very likely that a reader who's looking for Princess Diana will specifically choose to search by her given and middle names. The only other person who's an exact match is pretty obscure, but the redirect itself is obscure too, receiving hardly over a single hit each week. Retargeting the redirect will also reduce some of the hatnote overload at the Princess Diana article, which currently links to five dab pages. I'm also asking for the redirects's protection to be lifted – I don't see a reason to have any sort of protection, let alone a full one, for a page that has never received any sort of edits, disruptive or not. – Uanfala (talk) 17:09, 12 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Uanfala: How would you phrase the lead sentence following the proposed move? – Reidgreg (talk) 12:01, 13 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Diana Frances, Diana Francis or Diane Francis may refer to: – though I guess there may also be a case for separating the three variants into different dab pages. – Uanfala (talk) 12:08, 13 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support all of the proposals. I don't know why Diana Franco was on the DAB page, since her article doesn't mention her being known as Francis or Frances: I removed the entry. 62.165.227.156 (talk) 00:10, 13 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support all. Sensible proposals: in fact I'm a bit surprised the Diana Frances exists. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 19:13, 13 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment: It doesn't really matter to me what the dab page is called, so long as (1) they're all on the one dab page due to similar pronunciation (leading to spelling confusion), (2) all the other dab titles redirect to the one page, and (3) Diana, Princess of Wales is kept at the top of the list (possibly even bolded) since that article has considerably more interest than the others combined. – Reidgreg (talk) 12:40, 14 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    • Disagree (3): the Princess's article is indeed popular, but not because she was "Diana Frances". Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 14:34, 18 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
